Terms of the free news portal

These terms describe the free China to Watch news portal, its account access and your newsletter choices.

Free news and account access

You can browse published Essential editions at no charge. Reading a complete edition requires a confirmed free account. Signing in with Google or confirming your email establishes account access; it does not purchase a product.

Email delivery is a separate choice

Creating an account, signing in or clicking a Google call to action does not subscribe you to a newsletter. Receiving Essential by email requires your separate choice and the confirmation shown in that journey. You can manage or cancel newsletter delivery in your preferences. Changing the site language does not change your newsletter language.

Published content and sources

The portal publishes China news with context and links to its sources. The language of each edition is identified on the reading page. Contact us if you find an error or need clarification about published material.

Paid offers are separate

Products, courses and services offered elsewhere by China to Watch have their own descriptions, prices and purchase or project steps. A free portal account or Essential newsletter subscription does not purchase or provide access to those offers.

Privacy and contact

Our privacy page explains account data and newsletter choices. For questions about this portal, corrections or your account, contact Phelipe Xavier at [email protected].
