Your data and your choices.
This page explains how China to Watch uses data from your account, newsletters, orders, and products.
Account and newsletters
We store name, email, optional profile, chosen topics, language, number of signals per newsletter, and a record of each consent. This data lets us confirm your address, maintain the account, and respect your delivery choices. Each topic is an independent newsletter. Signing in to the account, including via Google, does not subscribe you to the newsletters.
Google sign-in uses only identity, email, and basic profile for authentication. It does not authorize reading Gmail or Drive. The cookie required for your session lasts seven days. The interface language preference is kept in a functional cookie for up to one year; it does not change the language of the newsletters.
Confirmations and notices
Resend processes confirmation messages and, when delivery is enabled, the newsletters you have authorized. Account access messages and product notices have purposes separate from editorial subscription.
You can manage and cancel a topic at your preferences, keeping the others. Canceling newsletters does not close the account or cancel a product subscription.
Orders and payments
Commercial requests include the need and criteria you provide, to analyze and respond to the project. A request does not automatically hire a service or release private suppliers. When a paid offer is enabled and hired by you, Stripe will process the payment and subscription management. China to Watch does not receive the full card number.
Records of previous features
Records of interest in previous features may contain name, email, optional profile, consent, and confirmation, with retention of up to 90 days. They do not subscribe you to newsletters, do not unlock new products, and do not authorize AI analyses.
Research and assisted operation
For accounts using research features, searches, products, scripts, notes, and decisions are linked to the account for up to 90 days. When you authorize and request an analysis, only the selected data is sent to BigModel, provider of the GLM models. Avoid personal data of viewers and confidential information. Consent can be revoked to prevent new analyses; this does not retrieve material already sent to the provider.
You can export and delete your research and sessions in their respective spaces. Starting tracking requires valid preparation and human review. Chat, audio, and requests are not yet captured automatically.
Storage and measurement
Account records are kept in the CTW environment storage: Convex or KV services when configured for the respective product. The infrastructure choice does not authorize a new purpose for your data. Optional measurement features, when used, depend on the consent indicated on the site.
Contact the person in charge
To request access, correction, or deletion of your data, contact Phelipe Xavier at [email protected]. State which account or purpose you want to review. Canceling delivery, deleting the account, and ending a subscription are different requests.
